Working at the United Nations is a tough job. Negotiations, proposals and debates—how does one catch a break? Earlier this month, Indian craft beer Bira 91 was announced as the featured beer at the United Nations’ Beer of the Month Program. While you conjure up images of delegates playing beer pong, allow us to explain.
Bira 91 will be served at the UN’s North Delegates Lounge to ambassadors, delegates and special guests visiting the lounge. The beer program seeks to expose craft brews and domestic brands to new audiences. Later this month, CEO Ankur Jain will lead a tasting session and a discussion about his journey. Interestingly, this is the first time an imported beer has been selected for the program.
