How To Get Rid Of Blackheads: 13 Easy Ways

Blackheads are basically clogged pores. So taking care of this small thing regularly can just improve your overall skin health and make it look more clear. Not everyone has the time to go to the salon every single week to get rid of them.
Basically, what a blackhead is, when you have dirt, oil, and debris, clogged within a pore, and it becomes oxidized and turns black.
Here are some of the ways to get rid of blackheads.
1. Take a hot shower
Another thing that you can do, is either take a really hot shower or if you have a facial steamer, you can sit with your
face over the steam, for about 5-10 minutes, whatever your comfort level is. Less time definitely, if you have more sensitive skin.
Basically, what that’s going to do, is it’s going to bring all of the cloggings to the surface, and it’s just going to make it really easy for you to take your fingers, and basically, kind of, do a little rolling motion. So what you want to do is you want to actually take your fingers, basically, roll the skin, and then just kind of do a wiggle motion.
You never want to use your nails, and actually rip any skin off, because that’s going to leave a scar. So if you just take your fingers, and kind of wiggle, after a good steaming, those blackheads are going to just pop right out of the skin.
2. Have a good cleansing regimen
Make sure you’re using a facial cleanser, that’s appropriate for your skin, and also exfoliating on a daily basis. Using an exfoliant with salicylic acid in it is really great for removing pore plugs as well.
3. Fuller’s earth and apple cider vinegar
Fuller’s earth is great for anyone especially with oily skin as this is clay and clay absorbs excess oil from your skin. Apple cider vinegar also helps in deep cleaning.
You want to take 1 tablespoon of Fuller’s earth and mix a little bit of apple cider vinegar just to make it into a thick paste. Make sure it’s not too thick and it’s still applicable. Apply a thin layer of this paste on your face and leave it on for 10 to 25 minutes. When you feel a get a little dry that’s when you know it’s done.
Rinse it off with lukewarm water or cold water because that way you’re going to shut those pores later and you can finish off with a nice moisturizer.
4. Honey, milk, and cotton
Take 1 tablespoon of honey 1 TSP of milk and a clean strip of cotton. Mix the two ingredients together and you want to heat it up for 5 to 10 seconds in the microwave. Mix again and blend it really nicely. After it has cooled down a bit apply a thin layer over the blackheads area and you want to Pat the strip of dry and clean cotton onto it.
Let this dry with the cotton in place for around 20 minutes and then carefully peel the strip away. Milk and honey both have properties that are good for your skin. Honey has antibacterial properties and the lactic acid in milk keeps your skin soft and supple.
After it’s done you just want to instead of with cold water and moisturize as usual.
5. Egg white mask
You’re going to need one egg white and some tissue paper. Separate the yolk from the white and rinse your face before you start off. Pat your face dry and then apply a thin layer of this whipped egg white all over your face. Apply the tissue paper to your face wherever you’ve applied the egg white.
Let it dry for around 20 to 30 minutes. You can also repeat this by adding another layer of egg white and another layer of the tissue as well. After you feel the mask getting a little dry it’s going to feel tighter and that’s when you’re supposed to peel the tissue off like you’re waxing your face.
It’s going to act as an adhesive and remove all the blackheads after which you can simply go ahead and wash your face like you normally do and don’t forget to moisturize as well.
6. Activated charcoal face mask
Activated charcoal is currently trending everywhere. Activated charcoal is known to be clean your pores and that’s why it’s really good for blackheads.
So all you want to do for this mask is to apply a thin layer on your face and let it dry for around 10-15 minutes. It won’t get completely dry but will feel a difference. Then just simply go ahead and wash with cold water.
7. Pore Strips
These are easily available in your local drugstore and they are really really inexpensive they really help remove those stubborn blackheads. What you want to do is wet your nose first nicely and make it really wet. That’s how it’s going to work.
Remove your pore strip or your nose strip and apply it to your nose. Leave it on for around 15 minutes and you also want to wet the top a little just so that it’s nice and sticky. You can also add some water on top of the strip just to increase the effect of it.
After it’s done for 15 minutes you can nicely strip it off from both sides first and then you move it upwards. It’s sort of like waxing. It’s going to help remove all the blackheads like a bandage. After that, you can just wash your face with cold water.
8. Charcoal and lime face scrub
It’s got activated charcoal and lime. Both are really good for deep cleaning your skin and pores. This is really good for deep cleaning your skin.
Basically, you just apply this to a normal face scrub and nicely exfoliate or massage your skin for 2 to 5 minutes and then simply go ahead and wash it with cold water.
9. Apricot face scrub now
Apricot will moisturize your skin you may want to use it in winters when the skin is dry. The procedure for this is exactly the same as any other face scrub. You simply have to exfoliate your skin with it and wash your face with cold water afterward.
10. Use baking soda
Take Baking soda mix it in some water & prepare its paste. Rub this paste on your affected area & wash it off with water after some time. Apply moisturizer after some time, with this you will get rid of blackheads.
If your skin is sensitive then instead of mixing baking soda with water mix it with milk. Take 1 tsp of Baking Soda & mix it in 1 tsp Milk to make a thick paste. Apply the paste on the affected area, let it stay for 10-15 mins & then wash it off with water & moisturize it.
11. Almond Oil And Sugar
What you do have to do is Take 50 gm Almond Oil & add 4 tbsp Sugar to it & shake it well so that sugar gets dissolved. Once the sugar is dissolved put this mixture under a cool & dark place.
You can either keep it in the fridge to avoid sunlight as sunlight can harm this mixture. Now take this mixture on a cotton ball & rub your affected area in a circular motion.
In case your forehead is affected then massage. After massage wash off your face with water. Apply moisturizer and you will notice within a few days your blackheads will vanish.
12. Astringent
You can also put astringent on your face overnight and wash it off the next morning. Now you would be asking, which brands? So let me tell you, that you can prepare it at home.
For this take 1 bowl of Apple Cider Vinegar and take 1 bowl of Mint Leaves. Either chop or crush the mint leaves and mix them into apple cider vinegar. Now put this mixture into a glass jar or container & keep it under cool & dark place for 1 week.
After 1 week stain this, now that strained solution is called astringent. Now take 1 spoon of astringent and mix 4 spoons of water in it. Put it on the cotton ball and rub it on your affected area. Apply this on your face and let it be for overnight
In case your skin is sensitive then don’t use this astringent. Normally it doesn’t burn as it’s mixed with water In case it burns then you can increase the quantity of water & decrease the quantity of astringent. Apply it overnight & next morning wash your face and make sure you apply moisturizer.
13. Lemon and salt
Take a lemon and cut it down into half and put some salt in it and wherever you have blackheads, just give a round rub this lemon with salt in that area. But take care of one thing, don’t do this if your skin is too sensitive.
In case you don’t have sensitive skin then rub it with light hands, massage it or rub it nicely, and after that wash off your face with lukewarm water. Pat dry your face & apply moisturizer. You will notice that within a few days you will get rid of blackheads.
